Sightline EDM 5.9 Introduces New Text Charts, Expanded Support for Japanese Character Set

FAIRFAX, VA – June 3, 2019 – Today, Sightline Systems announces the release of Enterprise Data Manager™ version 5.9, adding enhanced reporting and dashboard capabilities plus ease of use features to its award-winning performance analytics platform.

Some of the new features in EDM 5.9 include:

New text charts that can be used in reports and dashboards to provide dynamic, context-based references within scheduled reports. Text charts can include text, tables and images, and help Sightline users quickly provide up-to-date visual representations of the IT environment.

New Dashboard options include the ability to schedule dashboards for printing to PDF. More flexibility has been provided when creating the dashboard, for aggregating information from multiple data sources. In addition, EDM now comes with the ability to add headers and footers to printed reports and dashboards, and scheduled reports can be output to both PDF and CSV.

Sightline continues to support the Japanese market with expanded support for the Japanese character set in metric names and data.

Other EDM 5.9 updates include support for standard timestamp formats in CSV and EVT input files, and the option to have forecast charts in reports and dashboards.  Users can now specify the order in which metrics are presented in charts and reports, and other sorting options.

Altogether, EDM 5.9’s new features make EDM a more versatile solution, allowing Sightline customers to better optimize the performance of their IT or manufacturing infrastructure by conducting root cause analysis, detecting behavioral anomalies or forecasting future capacity requirements to continuously ensure quality, reduce costs and improve profitability. EDM provides great flexibility when visualizing, analyzing and reporting complex performance data
